Last year was such a blast. We had a really fun pre party at Slattery’s where we raised a ton of money for charity, then we had one of our smoothest tailgates ever, good weather and a huge win. #MetLifeTakeover Pre-Party & NFL Experience

As of this morning the #MetLifeTakeover tickets are all sold out! We are talking to the Jets about trying to get a couple more rows in another section close by but we have already sold over 1000 tickets! Even if you don’t get tickets with us everyone is invited to both the tailgate and the pre-party at our bar Slattery’s Midtown Pub. We also partnered with the NFL Experience to get you guys discount tickets with to their Times Square attraction.

Let’s start with the tailgate! The catered tailgate is being offered by Urban Tailgate up until game day, but our discount code only works until tomorrow night so this is your last chance to get the all you can eat and drink tailgate for $65. The $20 off coupon is “DOLFANSNYC2018” and if you get the cheaper no alcohol option you can still get $10 off using “FINSUP” as the coupon code. Speaking of Solo D he is also going to be performing at our Pre-Party at Slattery’s Midtown Pub. The party is going to start early at 6pm so that we can end by 9pm so people can still get some sleep before the #MetLifeTakeover. Slattery’s is at 8 E. 36th St in Manhattan and is walkable from Penn Station, Times Square and a ton of other Subway stops. On top of the Solo D performance we will have merch for sale, raffles and maybe even a live auction if we get a good crowd. We also just redid our Dolfans NYC museum in the back of Slattery’s so make sure you check that out. A lot of work went into that space.

Lastly I want to mention the NFL Experience promotion we are doing. The NFL Experience Times Square is a “football theme park” that features memorabilia, games, photo ops and much more. They reached out to us about doing something with us so we figured the #MetLifeTakeover weekend was a perfect opportunity since a bunch of people will be in town for the game. Helping Animals Vs. The Raiders

I don’t need to start with the game last week or the way the Dolphins have been playing. Obviously it’s not making any Dolphins fan happy, but Dolfans NYC was founded with the goal of enjoying our Sunday’s and doing something positive at the same time. Win or lose we have more fun every week being with our Dolfan brothers and sisters at Slattery’s and this week we are doing something to help one of them out.

When I first moved to NYC almost exactly 8 years ago I googled “Dolphins Bars NYC” and a bar called Proof came up. When I got there there was only one other Dolphins fan. His name was John and we watched games together every week. At some point my Dolfans NYC partner Michelle came into the bar and we had our first chance meeting which led several years later to the founding of Dolfans NYC. When word go out about our club John heard about it and I saw him again for the first time in a couple years and he instantly became one of the most essential members of Dolfans NYC. He is there every week and has done a lot of great stuff for us and now he needs some help.

John’s dog Hank has been really sick and has been in and out of the vet. John approached us about raffling some of his memorabilia off to help pay for some of his dogs treatments and we of course agreed. So on Sunday John is going to be bringing in some of his memorabilia and we are going to be upping the game with some of our own stuff including an autographed game used Brian Hartline glove.

75% of all the money we raise via raffle will go to Johns dog and the other 25% will go to the no kill animal shelter BARC in Brooklyn where Michelle volunteers.

Sign Up For The 2014 #MetLifeTakeover!

This year the Dolphins play the Jets on Monday Night Football and once again Dolfans NYC is organizing a takeover and we are getting ready for prime time! The 2014 #MetLifeTakeover doesn’t happen until December 1st but we are already setting plans in motion and here is how you reserve your seat! We have on hold over 600 seats for the game and we would love to break the 751 tickets we bought last year!

Since this year’s game falls on a Monday we are NOT going to be organizing a specific tailgate party.

NFL Draft Takeover!

It’s that time of year again! The NFL Draft!  Dolfans NYC makes a yearly trip to the draft that has grown every year. It’s a really fun event that is a fantastic way to talk football again. It has become one of the highlights of the Dolfans NYC calendar!

The NFL Draft takes place at Radio City Music Hall which is pretty much walkable from our bar Slattery’s Midtown Pub and we love to make a lot of noise and talk smack to all the other fans of other teams. Especially the Jets! We need to come out in force again!

Tickets to the draft are totally free but you do have to wait in line but the cool thing is waiting in line is one of the most fun parts of the draft. You just hang out with football fans all day and smack talk and have a good time. I honestly think I love it more than the actual draft!

Important to note. This year Michelle has a new baby and is going to be in Miami during the draft. I am going to be in a wedding this week/weekend and don’t have any time to spend as much time answering questions and responding to emails. So follow instructions carefully and you will get to watch the draft with us.

THE DAY BEOFRE THE DRAFT – Wednesday May 7th: On Wednesday we will be waiting in line to get wrist bands to get tickets the draft. The NFL starts giving out wrist bands at 7pm. We will be meeting at the fountain on Avenue Of Americas between 49th and 50th street at 5pm!  We will be heading to get in line RIGHT AT 5pm! DO NOT BE LATE!

If you see everyone already in line DON’T PANIC. They give out tons of wrist bands on Wednesday night so as long as we get in line we will get into the draft. Even if the line seems impossibly long, don’t stress, you will get a wrist band. Also, if you can’t make it by five, just get in line and get a wristband. As long as we are together on Thursday we will get to sit together.

Wear your Dolphins gear both nights! We need to represent! And make sure you go to the bathroom and or bring food. You can’t leave the line once you get in it!

Round 1 – Thursday May 8th : This is the important part. Once you have a wristband they assign tickets by group in a random order. This means that as long as we are together in line we will get to sit together. Last year we had to do two different groups but we traded seats out and figured it out. But the important thing is that we are together. You are guaranteed a seat with a wrist band so once again DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE LINE!

We will be meeting at the same fountain on Ave of the Americas (6th Ave) between 49th and 50th again at 5pm. DO NOT BE LATE! This is important! We need to all be together when we get in line so that we can sit together! If you show up late try and find us in line but you probably won’t be able to join us.

Make sure you remember the NFL’s terrible Clear Bag Policy and don’t bring any bags or purses or anything that can’t fit in a large zip lock bag.

Day 2 & 3: If you want to go to any of the other rounds of the draft it’s pretty easy. We aren’t doing a big get together but after the draft on Thursday you can get in line to get a ticket for Day 2. Day 3 is even easier. They are pretty much begging people to go so you just walk up on Saturday and you will probably even get a great seat.
